I was finally able to hang our stockings because I finally had time to make Leila's stocking...Josh's first words, "Oh, yours doesn't match." While picking out fabric I had the idea that both Josh & my stockings were plaid so that is what I chose for Lei. In reality, my stocking has snowflakes...oops. So at last, here is our make shift Christmas mantle.
So since we have hung our stockings all I can think about is stocking stuffers. If you didn't know or haven't read last years stocking post let me just inform you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE stockings. I love stockings pretty much more than anything. Seriously, I CANNOT explain to you the childish giddiness I feel every Christmas morning when it comes to opening stockings. Ridiculous, I know. It is not that I have ever gotten anything extremely wonderful in my stocking. Its just the many little goodies stuffed into one sweet little bootie! Now that I am filling other stockings I have so much more fun. It's like a treat to share the excitement of waking up to an over flowing stocking of goodies. Ok, off my rant. Allow me to treat you to a sneak peak of Josh and Leila's stockings...whoo too! Josh's stocking is filled with goodies he always asks for but are too small to be an actual gift. Here is just a few of the things I have already purchased to fill his stocking. I am known to go out on Christmas eve and load up on random last minute things...but so far Josh will be receiving a variety of Eddie Bauer socks including these black & red checkered ones! Also from Eddie Bauer, BIG surprise since I work there, is a stocking cap & scarf. His stocking will be filled with 'stockings' since this is the one time of year I load him up on socks. He loves these black puma ones and lucky me, Ross sells them in a bulk pack. I bought him sonic air toothbrush heads so he can have pearly whites after eating all his sweedish fish & whatever other candy he finds in the bottom of his stocking. Hot sauce. Josh asks every time I go to the store if I will buy him hot sauce. He always wants to try new flavors and goes through them crazy quick, so whats better than a variety of hot sauce in your stocking? And last but certainly not least, whiskey & bullets...oh yes! Bullets are just a little something for Josh to take to the shooting range & the whiskey is well, just because the man likes whiskey!! And miss Leila...well our little 'monkey's has a stocking full of all sorts of fun toys. If you didn't notice the theme let me fill you in. Leila's very first toy was this silly canvas monkey that we bought at the gas station by our house on the first day we had her. No matter how many toys she has gotten since she still loves her monkey so so much. So, we have started just buying EVERY monkey toy we see...AND SHE LOVES THEM ALL! What can I say, our little lady likes to monkey around. :) Anyhow, now that you have a little sneak peak into the Hocking's stockings I will leave you with our Christmas photo...Saturday, December 15, 2012
