Being Thankful

Working retail RUINS Thanksgiving.
The End...
Well, I guess I could go into more detail but that is the main thought that I would like to share. Josh and I are both working retail jobs right now and spent all of Thursday dreading our black Friday shifts. Josh had to work from 11 pm on thurs until 8 am on Friday, yuck! I on the other hand had an easy shift from 6am-11:30am and then oh wait, had to come back at 4pm-10pm to close the store! BOO for black Friday!
Ok so lets just move on to being thankful! :) I am thankful for my wonderful husband who went out hunting on Thanksgiving morning and thankfully (yes, thankfully) shot a deer. Looks like we will have meat in the freezer this winter after all. Whoo hoo!!! Next, I am thankful for a sweet little pup who has endless love and snuggles to share! I am also ever so grateful for my parents who mean the world to me. I wish SO badly that I lived closer to you guys. Clearly, I took for granted the 18 years I lived at home and now I am very upset that I did so. My heart literally breaks every holiday I spend without my parents & the rest of my family. :( On the other hand, we are oh so THANKFUL to have Josh's parents here in town to spend the holidays and many more random afternoons with. I am so blessed to have this second family who are there for us, who puppy sit our spoiled dog and who are just there for us really whenever we might need them. Patti & Steve are so wonderful and truly help ease my pain through the holidays without my own family. Finally, I am thankful that it is now officially Christmas time! Josh & I went out and picked out a Christmas tree this afternoon. Then we spent the day drinking spiked egg nog, dancing around to Christmas tunes, stuffing our faces with a pre-holiday feast and decking the halls!

Just a shout out to all you family members we couldn't spend Thanksgiving with. We are so thankful to have you in our lives and miss you more than you could possibly know. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Love you all bunches!
